State Minister of Culture and Tourism of Ethiopia, Tadelech Dalecho left for Houston, Texas later on Tuesday to attend the 37thHoustonInternational Festival to be held April 19-20 & 26-27.
The State Minister told ENA on the occasion that Ethiopia is chosen as the main focus of the festival.
Lucy and other Ethiopian historical and cultural heritages on exhibit in Houston have enabled Ethiopia to be a spotlight on the festival.
Ethiopian business community, artists, designers, models will be taking part at the festival.
The National Theater would present cultural dances at opening of the festival.
The theme for the Festival 2008 is “Out of Africa: the Three Journeys.”
The festival celebrates the rich history, achievements, contributions and triumphs of African people in Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, the United States and the rest of the world.
The festival is organized each year to celebrate diversity and promote learning about different cultures.
